There is the question of whether to have a pilot program first for the weekend vs a weeklong program. The first year is important, and the conservative view is to first have it over the weekend. However, if it is a weekend program, then other programs are winding down at the weekend when the college program is starting up.

Integrating is very important to the participants, so that they're not segregated from their friends. [insert]

So a weekend long program is what we've decided.

We want to move certain TAF-wide coordinator responsibilties to the college program.

Assistant advisors as "ILT" of small groups as high schoolers, but they are older high school students, as peer leaders.

The propose is that the college program that has a component that is like an internship. Christine explains:

The college program will be like an internship where you will come for 1 week and give back to TAF in some form, be it a coordinator position or leading workshops or being program assistants etc. Also, with this way, assistant advisors would be older hs students, aka seniors, very similar to JH ILT.

This seems to be a work in very good progress.

concerns: stigma attached to getting rejected from being an advisor and being relagated to the "college program." But its like that for anything you get rejected with.

Market the conference as an Intership/Leadership program. Possibly ask during registration for your skills etc, so they can lead workshops for any program (college/youth/jh/jrs etc) and fill any coordinator position.

coords will all be college students...no youthers will be coords...tentatively. OR, make sure that youth coords, if there are any, make sure they understand that they are campers.

C: Benefit of college program would be that more mentorship for coordinators so they know the true purpose of their job (ex: swing choir too tough, slideshow focusing on the makers or just the popular people)
K: but that should be done regardless of what program youre in.

Have project times.

Yrbook, slideshow, sibs, newsletter, taf night are TAF-wide. Youth-specific ones are Hospitatlity, choir, swing choir, and group activities. So the TAF-wide will be composed of teams from all programs including Juniors and Junior High?
